My client is an exciting and rapidly growing business looking to recruit a Branded Buyer. They sell a wide range of products across global websites and source from a large number of suppliers worldwide. It is a very fast paced working environment and the successful applicant must be highly analytical and passionate about product.

You will select a commercially successful 3rd Party/Branded collection for the product category, building the best supplier relationships and ensuring margin targets are met so that customers' have a great choice of products at the best prices. You will also work closely with the stock teams globally to understand stock availability, sales and promotional activity.

Key Responsibilities
*Select a 3rd Party/Branded range in line with the assortment and category plans to achieve sales revenue, units and profit targets and implement the agreed departmental strategy
*Report on sales activity and trends, with commentary on category - monitoring performance against agreed targets
*Select products in line with identified potential range gaps and any promotional style requirements
*Negotiate the best prices through your buying power, achieve maximum full price sales and planned margin
*Drive increase in margin through new sourcing strategies and methods to build profit via MOQ's, discounts and effective promotional activity
*Negotiate all supplier terms, building and maintaining effective working relationships to ensure the best terms (company and supplier) are achieved, agreeing all discounts, product exclusivity and pricing
*Identify and source new suppliers ensuring compliance to terms and manual
*Manage the exit of all suppliers no longer require, maintaining a good relationship with them where possible

Candidate
*Proven background and experience in branded buying
*Strong negotiation skills and relationship building
*Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team, using own initiative
*Extremely adaptable and used to working in a fast-paced environment
*Comfortable with a fast-growing company
*Ability to identify best practices, recommend new processes and ideas
*Strong problem solving, communication and IT skills (database, Excel etc)
*Detail orientated
