My client is a very exciting and dynamic business, that is growing year on year. As part of a global group, they are expanding into new territories, and have a desire to continue developing better and broader services to their increasing customer base.
As the Supplier Relationship Manager, you'll be responsible for managing business relationships, purchasing-related activity and developing operational efficiency with external vendors. This is a crucial role managing the third-party relationships as the business service matures and expands into new markets. There will also be an element of procurement within the role for new suppliers, as well as negotiating new contracts, extensions and exit management.
You'll support an established framework for managing vendor activity including the co-ordination of day-to-day business operations, contract negotiation, performance management, tender/ RFP management and regular interaction with internal finance teams. Candidates need to be driven, diligent, organised, numerate and commercially astute with an interest to learn about the commercial and technical operations of the business.
*Be the point of contact for suppliers and manage the overarching business relationships across key vendors
*Negotiate, formalise and process third party contracts, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders
*Ensure that supplier invoices are paid within terms and internal purchasing procedures are followed
*Facilitate, organise and chair supplier review meetings on a monthly or quarterly basis as appropriate
*Support the finance department in forecasting and managing supplier costs
*Drive 'continuous improvement' with key suppliers
*Co-ordinate involvement with Group procurement teams and service owners to ensure best value and alignment on shared services
*Previous experience managing multiple supplier relationships in a high turnaround business environment
*A solid understanding of contract theory and structure
*An understanding of business finance and numeracy
*Pro-active, self-motivated and organised
*Experience of working in a fast-paced industry environment e.g. technology, retail, media,
*Experience of working in a procurement role
*IACCM, CIPS or relevant industry accreditation
