Business Analyst required by a household name in the South East of Cardiff. You will be mapping out customer facing business processes, identifying improvements and drafting detailed business requirements that can be implemented to support the business strategy and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

*To map out 'as-is' business processes and identify gaps and improvements that can be made to current customer facing business processes
*To develop detailed business requirements for our customer facing business processes
*To support in translating business requirements into technical requirements that can be implemented by technical teams
*To develop business cases and project plans for business initiatives that support our business strategy and goals
*To identify appropriate project stakeholders and to develop and maintain their engagement at all stages of the requirements process through effective communication and involvement
*To monitor and track progress against planned deliverables, ensuring stakeholders and project sponsors are always kept fully informed of project developments
*To ensure the translation of requirements to key stakeholders to facilitate the successful implementation of the project
*Ensure that the quality controls are in place to so that the activities relating to requirements are planned and performed correctly
*To identify & quantify benefits associated with project/initiative; both financial & non-financial, and develop a plan to track & monitor those benefits during their realization.

Required Experience:

*Demonstrable evidence of gathering requirements, with experience in working with senior stakeholders in developing strategy, gathering requirements and translating requirements to key stakeholders (essential)
*Experience of working with Business process modelling, target operating model definition and process re-engineering
*Working knowledge in business processing models
*Experience of developing requirements that span multi systems e.g. billing systems, debt recovery systems, telephony systems, web systems (essential)
*Qualifications and experience of using requirements gathering tools (essential)
*Proven work experience of undertaking sound business analysis and developing information into concise reports (essential)
*Practical experience of working several stakeholders crossing both business and IT work streams including 3rd party suppliers (essential)
*Experienced in using MS Office tools e.g. Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio (essential)
*Strong customer service orientation/or experience of working within the customer service utility industry (desirable)
*To show an aptitude for being able to learn and adapt quickly to the technical knowledge to be able to draft relevant project requirements to work as effectively with partners during a project (desirable)

This excellent role is a two-year fixed term contract paying £40 - 50,000 p/a and you will also receive the following benefits, a generous pension plan, 25 days annual leave plus public holidays and an annual variable pay scheme (Bonus).
