Head of Automation required by a market leading Business Process Outsourcing firm to be based in Newport (plus travel within the UK & India). As Head of Automation your main objective is to ensure that you drive automation throughout the BPO division to help drive operational and cost efficiencies.

You will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team within the Business Change function and acts as an accelerator of rapid execution across the function by leveraging existing Appian toolsets to deliver rapid business process improvements within the rapidly growing BPO function.

Key Accountabilities:

*Has a flexible attitude and is willing to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the company
*Has a proactive approach and commitment to get the job done
*Participate and lead strategic initiatives to support the growth of the business, particularly within our business process outsourcing function
*Ensure the professional services team is utilised effectively, leveraging both onshore and offshore resource effectively
*Develop and sustain collaborative working practices between onshore and offshore teams
*Implement best practices and continuous improvement for increased team productivity and efficiency
*Conduct regularly scheduled team and one-on-one meetings with direct reports to address issues, and provide updates regarding development and performance
*Drive the software development function in a modern and progressive manner utilising the latest approaches in the delivery of software solutions
*Work closely with the business development teams to ensure we provide solutions which meet our customers current and future demands
*Responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives across the BPO operation
*Identify areas for efficiencies within lending and investment processing which can be multiplied out to benefit clients
*Build on existing client base and nurture new relationships by attending industry events
*Oversee the day to day delivery of client solutions; implementation, delivery, and transition into support.
*Direct the overall execution of all BPM implementation projects, including scheduling, budget, and quality of deliverables, that comprise the customers' overall implementation program
*Ensure budgets are adhered to and utilisation levels against projects are managed, tracked and reported
*Support Sales efforts in RFP responses, Value Exploration Workshops, defining implementation programs, and delivering SOWs
*Promote a culture of continuous improvement that enables cost effective BPO operation by adopting appropriate methodologies such as Six sigma, Lean.

Essential Skills & Experience:

*Minimum 10 years of experience in delivering software implementation Projects
*Proven ability to manage multiple projects and customer relationships simultaneously
*Proven results dealing with internal and external customer requirements
*Demonstrable analytical capability
*Strong background in relevant technologies and architecting large scale solutions and strategies
*Demonstrated ability to implement best practices and make effective process improvements
*Knowledge & experience with BPM and RPA tooling
*Experience in estimating IT projects and understanding the risks associated
*Strong leadership skills to manage a team of over 15 individuals
*Good understanding of automation and IT related matters
*Proven stakeholder management, communication, management and negotiation skills
*Client-side consulting and advisory
Desirable Skills & Experience:

*Experience of working within the BPO sector
*Experience running an onshore-offshore hybrid delivery function
*Experience with Appian
*Client-side consulting and advisory in UK regulated Financial Services sector
