IT Work Package Leader required by market leading, global Defence sector consultancy based in Broughton. The IT Work Package Leader will be responsible for managing a shop floor IT and control systems support project. This will include being the interface between our client, their customer, local and international teams and suppliers.

Key Tasks & Accountabilities

*Managing service delivery for the Shop Floor Support Team (supporting over 200 shop floor IT and control systems).
*Leading the detection, scoping and allocation of activities, ensure needs are well understood and defined before they are started.
*Allocating activities as appropriate based on skills and availability of resources (either to internal teams or suppliers).
*Acting as an escalation point for technical or quality issues.
*Providing advice to Project Managers on progress, risks, etc.
*Managing suppliers in relation to allocation of work, quality, etc.
*Identifying capability gaps and associated recruitment / solutions provision to fill these gaps.

Skills & Knowledge

*Customer and supplier management
*Project management tools and techniques, particularly in an IT context
*Strong negotiation and conflict management in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
*Shop floor manufacturing environments, particularly in aerospace (e.g. CNC Investigation, MES AOS investigation, MIS Application queries)
*Progression of digital and IT methods/tools in an engineering environment
*MSSQL Server 2000-2012, MS Windows server 2003 20 2012, Windows XP - Win 10, IIS web servers, ASP.NET, client browsers (IExplorer), web services, clustered and non-clustered database server environment, clustered and non-clustered web server environment).
*Management of Incident Resolution and On Demand Services
*Advanced skills with Microsoft Office

This fantastic role comes with a starting salary of £45,000-55,000 p/a depending on experience. This will be accompanied by 28 days holiday, a 40-hour working week, pension, medical insurance, income protection, perk box, cycle to work, plus many more.
