Artis are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a leading provider of utilities across the South West; a vibrant company that offers career prospects and provides benefits and rewards ensuring your health and well being are taken seriously. As Finance Manager, you will be part of the team based out of Bristol, providing a trusted front line financial support service which is both proactive and reactive. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for;

- Producing month end packs, forecasting, performance, metrics, Input into Risk Opportunity schedules
- Ensuring financial controls are always adhered to across the business and carry out audits and assurance of the monthly cost to complete
- Take a leading role on financial controls; ensuring robust governance, self assurance and processes are in place
- Actively involved in transformation activities to drive continuous improvements to deliver an enhanced and more efficient reporting service

What you will need to succeed

- Hold a good level of post qualification experience, ideally in a commercial or management accounting role
- Good knowledge of accounting practices, statutory regulations and reporting requirements including experience of forecasting / budgeting across large, complex project environments
- Experience working in a high quality and deadline driven financial reporting environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication. Highly analytical, personable and an inspirational leader who is passionate about mentoring and developing staff
- Demonstrable people management experience, you'll work in a flexible and enthusiastic fashion
- Able to manage pressure, meet strict deadlines and professionally challenge the norm and current processes, you'll have a passion for data and numbers whilst enjoying implementing enhanced ways of working

Qualifications / Experience

- ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified with proven Finance Management experience
- Strong systems skills, particularly Excel, SAP and business forecasting tools
- Capital Accounting, financial modelling and financial forecasting experience
