QA Test Analyst required by market leading, award winning retail sector organisation based in Swindon. This role will require 2 days a week on average onsite. The QA Test Analyst will be required to test our clients website and various business systems, as well as any third party integrations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will develop and have an understanding of our clients business processes, and it’s operations which is vital to ensure error free software is delivered to colleagues.
  • Drive quality at all stages of the project & SDLC, by verifying business requirement and subsequent testing requirements.
  • You will have an input into project plans in relation to QA estimation of test duration.
  • Design & document test cases which maybe be part of the QA Automation process.
  • Build a great working relationship with the in-house development team, the wider IT team, business stakeholders & 3rd parties, discussing ideas and improvement to testing, ensuring a clear line of communication and responsibility.
  • Using testing processes to accurately test and verify changes to ensure a quick turn-around on changes critical to the business.
  • Regular, clear & concise reporting to Senior Programme Delivery Manager on test progress and issues.
  • Actively manage the QA helpdesk.
  • Regularly reviewing tickets in Business Test, liaising with the stakeholders to ensure agreed timelines are met and to discuss any lesson learnt where deadlines have been missed or business operations has been missed.
  • Build a working knowledge of our clients admin system and be comfortable with each departmental area.
  • Effectively manage your workload, prioritising activities appropriately to provide an efficient and effective QA service.
  • Work closely with the Senior Programme Delivery Manager and Project Managers to ensure project deliveries are aligned with the overall department plan.

Experience required:

  • Can confidently talk about and describe in detail business processes and procedures within our clients systems, website as well as any third party interfaces.
  • The applicant should be an extremely proactive self-starter with a real drive to move into IT.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
