The IT Operational Security Analyst is a vital role within this financial services organisation. This role reports to the IT Security Operations Manager and is a technical role, suited to an individual with a background in infrastructure technical operations.

*Responsible for own development
*Acting as a mentor to 1st and 2nd line support staff.
*To act with confidence, enthusiasm and to apply a professional attitude to all aspects of the role.
*Develop excellent working relationship with in-house Technical Teams and outsourced 24/7 Security Operations Centre
*Ability to communicate with clients at a professional level, explaining technical issues to non-technical staff and stakeholders
*Working with the Technical teams and Project Managers to deliver solutions on time and in conjunction with client expectations & relevant security standards
*Manage requests and incidents in line with policy, ensuring a satisfactory customer outcome.
*Contribute to and maintain an information security technical audit response which describes the protections deployed in a manner that is suitable for client and external audits
*Ensuring that SLA breaches are kept to a minimum by implementing measures and controls to ensure stability of systems
*To continuously drive efficiencies, utilising and implementing technology to increase productivity.
*Excellent documentation of systems and solutions
*Business requirement documentation
*Change, problem and capacity management
*Identify and report risks
*Maintain Vulnerability Assessment platform and address findings
*Maintain patching processes supporting infrastructure and ensure the platform meets security and business requirements
*Maintain current security patching tool and ensure that patches are applied in a control, tested manner
*Work with the wider team to develop reporting from security platforms
*Secure core infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS and DHCP

Skills and Experience
*GCSE English and Maths
*Vulnerability Management Solutions (e.g. Tenable, Rapid7)
*Understanding of OWASP
*Experience creating written reports
*Active Directory administration and configuration
*Windows Server & Desktop infrastructure
*Good understanding of Local Area Networking
*Good understanding of VMware or other virtualisation technologies.
*Microsoft PowerShell
*Experience of ITIL processes
*Technical Project Management
*Full UK driving licence and access to a car for business use
*Technical problem solving
*Maintaining a professional attitude at all times
*Completion of comprehensive technical and user documentation
*Creation of technical design documents based upon business processes
*Ability to methodically isolate and resolve faults
