My client is a global business looking to recruit a newly created Supply Chain Project Manager / Co-ordinator. As part of the SC Management team, the role is responsible for the management and implementation of all Supply Chain strategic projects that support the business needs. You will be engaging with all stakeholders and driving performance to ensure business objectives are fully met.

There isn't a requirement to manage a team, therefore you must be comfortable in both developing strategies as well as being hands on in the delivery of projects. You will have proven strong project management, supply chain, continuous improvement and process driven skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
*Oversee planning, prioritisation, and completion of various cross-functional projects; responsible for coordinating projects of a moderate to complex nature across all sites and ensure projects are achieved within identified and documented time, budget, and performance expectations
*Develop and implement the strategy for all Supply Chain projects, including, cost reduction initiatives, work transfers, and dual source strategies to support rate increases projected by customers, as well as inventory reduction and cash improvements
*Proactively balance multiple demands in a fast paced production environment, provide strong leadership and guidance in the Supply Chain organisation, and establish cohesive relationships with Parent operating company and other functional personnel
*Support and lead the negotiation of Long Term Agreements
*Support Group Initiatives for commercial contracts and preferred suppliers where demonstrated advantages can be recognised
*Support development of supply chain strategy in support of business needs
*Develop, report & present key metrics on the initiatives
*Deployment of best practice across the supply chain team


Job Requirements, Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
*Work proactively with minimal supervision, reporting as appropriate
*High sense of urgency, accountability, and commitment to delivering value to the organisation
*Previous experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Development and Project Management
*Exposure and experience in global and diverse manufacturing and assembly environments
*Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders
*Proven track record of negotiation and strong problem solving skills
*Task / Achievement focused - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
*Ability to effectively work cross functionally
*Experience in Lean Manufacturing disciplines
*Financial acumen regarding cash flow, margin, working capital, and inventory turns
*Competent in using MS Excel (pivots, Vlookups as minimum) and PowerPoint, with MRP, and data analytics tools
*Previous experience of working in Aerospace or similar industry
*Ability to read technical drawings
