My client is part of a larger FMCG group that is going through a period of change and restructure. As such they're looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to manage a small team and improve the management of the replenishment process, logistics and of suppliers to support the profitable growth of the subsidiary business.

The organisation is one of the fastest growing companies in their industry and has a real passion for product. They thrive on bringing consumer loved brands to market. This is a really exciting role for someone who has strong end to end Supply Chain experience, including improving and managing suppliers, optimising inventory levels and team management / development.

Role:
Supplier Management
*Review existing Contracts and Terms of Service with Suppliers and negotiate mutually beneficial changes
*Improve and manage supplier service and performance through agreed KPI and performance improvement metrics including supplier reviews
*To identify and lead Margin Improvement programmes with Suppliers
*Be the first point of escalation for supply, quality and project management matters
Inventory and Logistics
*Manage all stock holding to ensure stocks are at an optimal level
*Reviewing ordering patterns / Minimum Order Quantities and working with suppliers on increasing agility
*Identify and deliver opportunities with UK and Export Logistics to reduce cost and improve service, including network restructuring projects
*Oversee the Importing of products from China
Replenishment, Business Process, Project Management
*Lead the analysis and document the existing replenishment including the ongoing integration of the ERP system
*Propose and implement opportunities to improve
*Work towards moving the business onto an ISO9000 platform
*Evolve the process for New Product Introduction. Support brand managers from when a product is defined until product delivery
*Develop key KPIs and tracking documents to ensure that there is visibility on progress

Candidate:
*Experience of managing 3rd party manufacturers is preferable
*Proven experience of negotiation and resolving difficult situations with suppliers and internal stakeholders
*Knowledge of planning systems
*Ability to work with a dynamic brand team and interface with group functions
*Ability to lead direct reports, providing support and direction
*Experienced in dealing with fast moving, demanding and complex supply chain issues
*Good communication skills at all levels
*Self-motivated, conscientious, organised, strong attention to detail
*Problem analysis solving skills, whilst being adaptable / flexible
*Full understanding of manufacturing and production processes / methodologies
*Full understanding of upstream supply processes and constraints
*Computer literate - mid level application of MS Excel
