Technical Service Delivery Engineer (Payments)

Technical Service Delivery Engineer required by market leading, award winning, financial services organisation. This role can be completed remotely with occasional days onsite at one of the organisations multiple locations across the UK.

Please note, candidates must have a strong understanding of Payments to be a success within this role.

How You Will Fit In:

The successful Technical Service Delivery Engineer will report directly into Service Manager, joining a new and exciting function within the organisation. This division provides the link between business delivery and the technical solutions which underpin the Integration of Payment and Digital Services. The Technical Service Delivery Engineer be responsible for delivering excellent infrastructure and application support to help our clients business, meet their customer’s needs.

Ideal Background:

  • Experience of Payments second level support at a technical manager level, covering both infrastructure and application support. (Any of the following will be considered: Faster Payments, SWIFT, SEPAL, ISO20022, International Payments, BACS, CHAPS or similar).
  • A broad knowledge of Technology Service Management and an understanding of how to manage service challenges.
  • An excellent understanding of the architectural landscape and ability to own the operational view on how the service is formed.
  • Ability to define and agree service requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance technical and business/customer considerations.
  • Ability to champion and quality asses that changes meet the defined production support standards and are fit for production.
