Accounts Manager

Are you a finance professional who has strong sales and purchase ledger experience? Are you looking for a new challenge where in 6-9 months time you will become the finance manager? Are you happy to work on site 5 days a week in the South Bristol area? If all of this sounds interesting then this role could be for you. Due to the imminent retirement of the current finance manager in the second half of 2025 our SME sized client with a turnover of around £4M is looking for someone to join the finance team initially as an accounts manager overseeing all of the transactional elements of finance ranging from the management of the debtors and creditors through to the bank and statement recs and supporting with some reconciliations and query investigation. As the year progresses you’ll get more involved with the book keeping elements of finance such as accruals and prepayments, journals and balance sheet work and eventually taking ownership for the monthly management accounts all the while being supported by the retiring finance manager to help you learn the ropes. This role would ideally suit someone who is AAT qualified or qualified by experience who has excellent people skills and who is happy to carry out the transactional work for a short period of time but also take on a bigger role later in the year.
