Are you a finance professional with strong excel skills able to start a new role in the next few weeks? Do you like manipulating data to aid forecasting and reporting? This role is based between Bristol and Bath and whilst 2 days on site would be ideal the hiring manager is prepared to compromise and just have someone on site a few days a month if required. You’ll be someone who isn’t phased by big data and can manipulate this in excel along with carrying out reporting and possibly some reforecasting. With gross revenue of close to 250M this company needs to be able to track variances against budget and needs someone who understands accruals and prepayments, can carry out balance sheet reconciliations, can ensure sales data is correct and therefore convert this into forward financial revenue. Excel capability needs to be to lookup, index matching and sumif level and your reporting skills need to be on point to highlight any potential challenges to the SMT. It’s possible that this role could become more long term or even permanent however at this stage it needs to be treated as a 3 month fixed term counteract. Are you an experienced Internal Auditor from within an FCA regulated business? Can you come to central Bristol once a month? Are you looking for a new challenge? If so we have a fantastic Senior Internal Audit role working for a market leading and award winning business based in central Bristol. With all required information accessible remotely you needn’t be based in the South West but the ability to get to the Bristol office which is located within a 15 minute walk of Bristol Temple Meads will be required once a month for team meetings. You’ll have excellent internal audit experience, have experience of the full end to end internal audit process and be an excellent written and verbal communicator.
Day to day your responsibilities will be:
*Assisting in the identification and planning of audits.
*Reviewing the risk register and incident log to identify areas that require further attention from internal audit.
*Planning own workload to meet agreed audit schedules and other work priorities
*Gaining a detailed understanding of the business sectors and support teams and build close working relationships with execs and staff at all levels
*Undertaking internal and third-party audits according to pre-defined auditing processes and tools for; AML, FCA, SRA and DPA related work. This will include auditing of client matters together with internal policies and procedures. Also other audit requirements across the firm such as those associated with ISO standards, team workload audits, governance audits, information security audits, quality audits and other regulatory audits as required.
*Identifying and recording any regulatory breaches and non-conformities to certification standards. Ensure reportable breaches are reported to the Risk Director.
*Producing audits reports and agreeing audit results with appropriate business leaders and dealing with any audit findings disputes
