Data Quality Analyst required by market leading, award winning professional services organisation based in Chippenham. The Data Quality Analyst will be required to implement and support a data quality framework across the business, working towards measurable, demonstrable improvement, analyse existing data, identifying and applying quality improvements, quantifying and resolving gaps and removing redundancies and take the lead in mapping data to the schema required for new asset management and compliance systems, ensuring an error-free data migration.

Key accountabilities/responsibilities:

*Take the lead in the implementation, maintenance and support of a data quality framework, in order to improve and manage data quality
*Take responsibility for ensuring all data is accurate and relevant to the delivery of the business' asset strategy
*Identify and work with suitable data roles to improve the quality of data in core systems, working closely with the Information Compliance Manager to ensure adherence to data security regulations
*Work closely with the Digital Integrations team and the BI team to assist and drive improvement in how data is captured and used
*Perform a regular review of data quality and data uses, using initiative and problem solving skills to resolve issues
*Follow best practice, including ITIL methodology, actively contributing to Continuous Service Improvement and other aspects
*Gather and interpret high quality data from a wide range of repositories, understanding the core need and challenging where unclear or not feasible
*Monitor and analyse any data or information provided by external partners
*Ensure security of data, especially sensitive personal data, in line with the information management policy/IT policy
*Apply the ICT Security Policy across all areas of work.
*Manage core asset system and ensure that user access to data is accurate and appropriate to their needs
*Access to sensitive data due to administrative access to the network

Required background


*Professional experience in data management, business analytics or related subject (equivalent to a degree level qualification)
*Experience of delivering data quality improvements in a corporate environment to a range of recipients
*Experience of providing training and knowledge transfer to colleagues to support their learning and development
*A pro-active, positive passion for delivering data quality improvements with the ability and aptitude to inspire others
*Proven ability to deliver multiple pieces of work to strict deadlines with high levels of accuracy and quality
*Strong attention to detail
*Proven ability to communicate concepts and detail in imaginative, innovative and visual ways to engage varying audiences
*Able to spot opportunities for improvement, thinking operationally, tactically and strategically
*Positive, proactive approach to emerging technologies and change
*Demonstrable ability to analyse and interpret data from multiple sources and communicate that analysis to a wide range of customers
*Practical experience of requirement gathering and interpretation, and the ability to understand complex details described by non-technical users.
*Aptitude for creative problem solving, finding innovative solutions to remove or overcome obstacles in simple, cost-effective ways
*Experience of producing accurate, clear reports and analysis to strict deadlines
*Proven ability to produce clear technical and non-technical documentation for a varied audience
*Understanding of change management principles and their application to databases and systems
*Good level of ICT skills including Windows, MS Office, hardware and cloud/on-premise software
*Experience of using SQL to query data
*Understanding of data management principles with practical experience of implementing improvements
*Knowledge of document management systems


*A technical data management qualification
*Experience of using Microsoft Power BI to produce data visualisations and insight
*Detailed knowledge of the mainstream business applications that are relevant to the housing sector
*Expertise in some of the following areas: database replication, ETL, data warehousing and BI platforms generally

This fantastic opportunity will run for an initial 9 months on a fixed term basis with possible extensions or a permanent role to follow. The role comes with a starting salary of £35,000-38,000 p/a and is accompanied with a company pension scheme (Employer contribution up to 6%), flexible working, medical cash plan and sick pay to name but a few.
