Artis HR have been retained to identify a Head of Talent for a fantastic organisation based in North Bristol (Flex Working). Reporting into a Director of People and Organisational Development you will contribute to the delivery of the organisations strategy, by defining and developing capability for the future. You will lead the talent strategy in line with the organisational vision and values. The focus will be to equip their people with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to deliver an outstanding people centred service to the people they support. The role will ensure that their people at all levels enjoy access to learning, development and career management as part of their plans to create an unrivalled employee experience in the industry, enabling them to attract and retain the best talent through a compelling Employer Brand. Other key accountabilities will include:

Developing & implementing the talent & capability development elements of the organisations workforce strategy, working closely with the Director of P&OD , Director of Operations & Head of Resourcing.
Interpreting strategic and operational plans and translating them into capability and talent requirements, initiating the plans to deliver them.
Identifying and implementing credible and effective diagnostic and development tools, creating the business case for investment in this area.
Developing a capability framework which describes the personal and professional capabilities required to succeed in key roles, ensuring integration with recruitment, performance review and development.
Directing the organisation's training and development activities to ensure that they are impactful, compliant, cost-effective and aligned with the organisation's policies and standards.
To be accountable for ensuring mandatory training compliance levels are maintained to the agreed level.
Making optimal use of the LMS and Talent system to ensure that the online development offering is accessible to all staff at any time, regardless of role or location.
Defining and implementing impactful organisational talent and succession management processes.
Liaising with functional or operational area managers and People Business Partners to develop and implement training, development and succession plans that are appropriate for their business needs but consistent with the organisation's overall talent strategy.
Ensuring the business has high quality performance development tools that are appropriate to the needs of the organisation and that drive up overall performance and growth.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable knowledge and previous experience within a Learning and/or Talent function, together with experience of leading high performing teams.
You will possess the ability to use LMS/Talent systems optimally, whilst illustrating your understanding of the world of digital learning & future of learning. You can evidence your ability to interpret business strategy and operational plans and translate them into capability and behavioural needs whilst understanding different learning strategies and interventions, ensuring high impact development actions result in a return on investment.
