Business Analyst required by market leading, award winning financial services organisation based in Salisbury. You will have the flexibility to work from home 3-4 days a week. The Business Analyst will provide strategic business analysis to our clients business teams, leading small to mid-size projects and assisting others (Project Managers/Scrum Masters) on larger more complex projects. You will be responsible for managing the changes through to delivery.


  • Provide assistance with enhancing and supporting both the business and technical teams, to deliver new products and features across our digital, transactional and management information systems. The position provides exposure to a broad range of related projects and activities.
  • Up-to-date expertise in business processes and systems to apply this to the execution and improvement of plans
  • Communicate and manage customer relationships and expectations, to keep others up-to-date on project progress
  • Stay current with customer needs and strategies; utilising formal and informal written communication methods (for example, emails, PowerPoint presentations, task lists, updates) to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to diverse audiences (for example, customers and technical staff)
  • Participate in multiple projects by completing and updating relevant requirements related documentation; managing project scope; following escalation paths; and maintaining customer and supplier relationships
  • Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design; including quality improvement and management of information; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and where possible recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers, to ensure systems meet the long-term business strategies
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognising and capitalising on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands and organisational changes

Required Background:

  • Used to working on both small and medium scale projects
  • Proficient understanding day-to-day operational processes, for both the internal business teams and external customers
  • Experienced at data and trend analysis, to understand the drivers behind the business and the need for change
  • Proficient in capturing and prioritising requirements
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, to analyse information such as transactions, and customer behaviour, to help identify opportunities and make recommendations
  • Analysis experience working within the financial sector (Desirable)
  • Previous experience analysing customer journey processes and improvements, e.g. customer portals, digitisation, mobile applications, etc.
  • Previous experience of Scrum Agile development, writing Epics, features and user stories
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
