ASP.NET Developer required by market leading financial services organisation with a large element of home working. The ASP.NET Develop will be responsible for enhancing and supporting key change initiatives and offer exposure to a broad range of IT change projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Back-end development of Restful APIs
  • Front-end development of web sites and portals
  • Considering application security
  • Considering performance & scalability in the design of code
  • Adhering to coding, user interface and, usability standards
  • Developing portals, with a high volume of concurrent users
  • Working with business analysts and technical colleagues to ensure that development changes are aligned with business needs
  • Documenting/communicating code designs to the technical team
  • Understanding business requirements
  • Designing, writing, reviewing and unit testing code
  • Supporting System test design, planning and execution
  • Resolution of production problems in an accurate and timely manner
  • Following the development lifecycle, working as part of a team
  • Providing cover for complex releases or in the event of a major production issue when required
  • Supporting relationships with business users, testers and operational support areas, to understand problems/issues, suggest solutions and identify areas for improvement
  • Providing support for regression, acceptance, implementation, recovery and, contingency testing

Essential:

  • Development background in web sites, Restful APIs and portals
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft .Net development platforms and tools e.g. .Net Core, .Net Framework, Visual Studio
  • Problem solver and analytical thinker
  • Able to break-down problems into logical steps/solutions
  • A proven track record of delivering and supporting businesses or applications
  • Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans
  • Listens to others and accepts input from team members
  • Clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally
  • Well organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of Angular
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or later
  • Experience working in a scrum/agile environment
  • Working knowledge of Azure services, such as Azure Logic Apps/Azure Functions etc
