Finance Business Partner

Artis has an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Team as the Finance Business Partner for one of our amazing clients in R&D.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role supports an experienced and professional finance team. The normal working hours will be Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. The role is based in Plymouth 5 days per week.

The Role

• Preparing monthly reporting pack to the group parent company, including consolidated accounts, to rigid deadlines
• Assisting with the preparation of annual tax packs to and liaising with external tax specialists
• Providing technical accounting expertise and advice to the finance team
• Completing aspects of month end accounts that involve advanced accounting
• Ensuring charges to the parent company are accurate and comply with agreements
• Accounting for technically complex ad-hoc and infrequent transactions
• Supporting with statutory audit day to day management and annual accounts preparation
• Supporting, maintaining and implementing internal controls

The Person

• Highly knowledgeable in FRS102 accounting standards
• Good understanding of financial regulation and compliance requirements for large companies
• Strong IT skills including previous experience of ERP systems (ideally SAP), Intermediate Excel including pivot tables, look-up etc.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to keep calm under pressure and enjoy working as part of a busy team.
• Ad-hoc assistance to senior finance managers as required.
