ArtisHR are currently supporting an exciting client based in Cheltenham with the recruitment of an internal Recruiter - this is initially a 12 month FTC but has the opportunity to be extended - the role is paying up to £32,000 pa - must have experience recruiting within engineering / manufacturing.
Job Purpose
To provide recruitment support for the business ensuring a seamless, effective and compliant service to line managers and potential employees, from vacancy initiation to onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
*Management of the entire recruitment process including headhunting (where appropriate), agency management, direct and indirect advertising and arranging and attending recruitment fairs.
*Ensure all permanent and fixed term contract roles are advertised appropriately internally as well as on the Ultra website via CareerBuilder (or the Applicant Tracking System when available). This includes Apprentice and Graduate recruitment activities.
*Distribute applications to line managers and HR team members ensuring that interviews are arranged in good time and feedback is provided effectively and efficiently.
*Ensure all candidates undertake McQuaig Occupational Tests (MOTs) or the online version - MMAT - and McQuaig online questionnaires at the appropriate time.
*Be the first point of call for all recruitment activity.
*Support Managers and HR Advisers/Business Partners with interviewing candidates as appropriate
*Ensure that new starters receive the appropriate pre-commencement information and complete their onboarding activities prior to their first day.
*Maintain the Recruitment Tracker ensuring that current progress and offeree details are kept up-to-date.
*Liaise with HR & Benefits Administrator regarding new starters, ensuring that all appropriate paperwork / evidence is handed over in good time for payroll purposes.
*Create and maintain employee files/records on the HR drive as per process.
*Meet compliance standards including appropriate right to work checks and destruction of documentation within allocated timeframes.
*Make recommendations for improving the department's processes to increase business effectiveness.
*Undertake other tasks/activities that reasonably fall within the scope of the Recruitment Coordinator's abilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
*Prior demonstrable experience of working in a Recruitment biased role.
*Demonstrable team working skills across several business teams
*Strong verbal and written communication skills
*Excellent organisational, planning and analytical skills as well as attention to detail
*Good PC skills, (in particular good MS Excel skills)
*Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain relationships with senior managers and all colleagues
*Ability to work with and administer large volumes of detailed information
*Experience of working within an SME environment advantageous
*Experience of the Aerospace / Defence industry would be advantageous

*CIPD qualified or working towards qualification desirable but not essential
