Our global engineering client is working exclusively with us to recruit an experienced Sustainability Data Manager to join its expanding team as part of a significant board-level commitment to sustainability across its operations and supply chain. About the role:
Reporting in to the Head of Sustainability, and with clear CxO sponsorship, this Group-level role forms part of a wider enlarging of the function and will be responsible for assessing the current data landscape and developing & implementing first class data collection and reporting processes, plus;
- leading the strategic project to review and improve data collection,
- establishing data management processes and governance,
- developing data mining and analysis tools,
- supporting & further developing Power BI dashboards
- monitoring the effectiveness of the sustainability data systems,
- advising on industry best practice,
- planning for future needs,
You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across IT and Corporate Communications, and closely with the Sustainability Reporting Manager, and - as a subject matter expert on all things data - will act as the link between IT and the Sustainability team.
We're looking to engage with candidates who will bring an exceptionally strong background in data management, analysis and manipulation, ideally gained within a large global corporate. You'll have a demonstrable track record of delivering meaningful data and insights to solve problems and inform decision making, and will be highly proficient in Power BI, database management and both quantitative and qualitative reasoning. Ideally you will have experience specifically of sustainability data, although your technical and analytical skills are most crucial.
Just as important as your relevant experience and knowledge/passion for the topic you will be a driven, collaborative team player; a highly numerate, technically strong, data analyst looking to develop further in a forward-thinking global business.
